am a Saskatoon photographer who specializes in Maternity, Newborn & Family photography. I enjoy capturing life as it is in the moment, celebrating the small things - teeny toes, first steps, a shy look over daddy's shoulder - it's all about life right now!
essions run approximately 1 hour - this can vary depending on the type of photo session, weather conditions and children involved. When working with children I understand the unpredictability of it all, as I have 2 young ones myself, so I am very flexible and take the time needed to get "the" shot. I am familiar with many locations in and around the city so before the session we will talk about what you are wanting and find a suitable place.
I do have a small studio in my home - it can accommodate up to 5 people, groups larger than 5 must choose a location session. Pets are more than welcome to be involved in your family photo, but please note that animals are strictly prohibited from my studio - pet photos must occur outdoors.
The following sessions are offered:
Maternity
Best done around 34-37 weeks, focus is placed mainly on the mom-to-be and "baby bump."
Newborn
Done within the first 4 weeks of life - focus is mainly on the new baby, the itty bitty parts, interaction with mom, dad and family members.
Just The Kids
A session focusing on the children, some posed and some candid.
Family Lifestyle
A location session that offers a great mix of posed and candid photos - focuses on family interaction, nice and relaxed.
Grad
Photos of the special graduate, all done up and looking stellar. Often takes place before the actual graduation, focus is on the graduate - can also include family members.
Romance
A special location session that focuses on your romantic relationship - little cuddles, secret smiles - nice and relaxed.
Mini-sessions
Several times throughout the year mini-sessions are offered - quick sessions with a limited number of proofs - perfect for holiday photos or a tutu party! Please check my blog for more information. Mini-sessions are only offered for limited edition sessions, they are not available as a request for individual sessions.
imple is best! Newborn babes photograph best in their birthday suites (clothes often don't sit well on new babies). Everyone should be dressed in a similar style (eg. all casual or all dressy). Stick with the same colour family (all pastel, all jewel tones, etc.) when dressing the family members. Keep it simple - avoid large, wild patterns and logos if possible.
he session fee is $300 for up to 5 people (each additional person is $10.00). This fee is due at the time of your session. This fee covers my time, talent and post processing of your photos, including minor touch ups and colour correction. Each session contains a minimum of 20 different photos, each presented in colour and black and white.
